Net Technical Solutions was established in June 1999 and was the brainchild of Managing Director Alistair Mackenzie. The company was originally based in Aldershot, (in the offices pictured opposite), and spent the first 8 years of its life providing IT support, network security and web-based software development services to a growing number of small to medium businesses in and around the Hampshire/Surrey borders.
Meanwhile, half way round the M25, Commercial Director Ben Stupples was busy building Unity IT Services, a similar IT Managed Service Provider based in Watford, Herts. And through the power of networking the two organisations came together in July 2007.
Over the next few years the business continued to grow exponentially and Alistair and Ben’s shared vision began to take shape. A one-stop solution for IT support, IT services and software development, delivered by a friendly down to earth team, underpinned by first class account management and strong business systems. The business moved from Aldershot to Farnham in Surrey in January 2011, largely to accommodate the now 16-strong team, and 3 years later another big milestone in the Net Technical story took place.
We had known the owners of Aldershot-based Dunston IT for many years, so when Managing Director Malcolm Hearn was looking towards retirement we struck a deal and the business was officially acquired in June 2014. We doubled in size overnight to 32 employees which brought its challenges, not least the need to relocate to larger offices in The Millennium Centre, Farnham, where we are now based. Not only did we take on some fabulous new customers for our IT support in Surrey, but also some amazing staff and chief among these was Richard Brain, former Dunston shareholder and now Technical Director at Net Technical.
...and that brings us to the present day where the business continues to flourish and in 2024 we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary! In 2019 we celebrated our 20th anniversary with a fantastic sailing trip and overnight stay for all 40 staff to the Isle of Wight. We remain passionate about what we are doing, we have a wonderful team working for us and are blessed with a truly special bunch of customers, many of whom have been with us since it all started, and long may that continue. If you are a prospective customer reading this, then we would be delighted to welcome you into the ‘Net Tech family’.

Over the years we have built up a great deal of experience and expertise in a number of key verticals such as Legal, Accountancy, Financial Planning, Estate Agency and Education to name but a few. Much as there are some similarities, we also recognise that each business is unique and we make sure that we treat them accordingly, adapting our style to meet their specific requirements. For some we operate as a completely outsourced IT department providing proactive server and computer support, day to day IT troubleshooting and strategic planning/advice. In other cases, particularly with larger customers, we work alongside their existing internal IT department to provide 2nd and 3rd line support as well as escalation, holiday and sickness cover and project work.
Some customers use us purely for our bespoke software development capabilities but most commonly we are a one-stop solution for everything – one number to call for all IT issues.

" I have no hesitation in recommending Net Technical Solutions to any company who require bespoke software development solutions for their business requirements. "
" Please accept our thanks, following the recent server installation. The whole project, which included moving onto Office 365, was carefully planned and executed with very little disruption to our business…I was delighted when we were able to continue working within about 45 minutes of switch-over. "

" Net Tech have been amazing both before and throughout lockdown. They respond promptly and work quickly to provide a solution to whatever the issue may be. But most of all, they are very patient with us un-tech-savvy few, and are caring & good-humoured in their communications and dealings with their clients. "
" Flawless support on a day to day basis, can't recommend Net Technical Solutions highly enough. IT support was the bain of my life before but its just completely stress free with these guys. "
" Joe from Net tech really supported me recently whilst I was working remotely at home. He managed to fix my VPN access quickly and a security update too needed on my laptop. Really friendly, open customer service. I felt listened to and understood, and Joe was so swift in sorting out the problem. 5 star service as always from Net Tech. I’ve been using them for over 8 years in my current job and highly recommend for a responsive, professional and efficient service. "
" Net Technical Solutions has supported our firm for a number of years now. We have as a general rule found them to be responsive, polite and knowledgeable. Laura always goes the extra mile and Jim Winstanley was a superstar with setting up remote working in March. A real saint. "
" I just want to say a thank you to all the Net Tech team for the amazing hard work they have put in to getting our VPNs sorted in such a short space of time in preparation for remote working; including putting dictation software on our system and ensuring that it all worked correctly (and subsequently upping the VPN connections on the server later when we realised we couldn’t all connect at the same time!)
