We currently have a career opportunity for a Customer Relationship Manager to join our Sales and Account Management team. The main purpose of the role is to manage a number of customer relationships from a commercial perspective, including contract management, carrying out strategic activities, responding to requests from customers, as well as developing sales of products and services.

The successful candidate will be expected to draw on their experience and initiative to continuously manage the customer relationships as and when required. The role will typically be office-based, with some client visits as and when required. The successful candidate will form a key part of the wider Account Management department assisting with business projects and also offering sales and purchasing support to other team members when required.

Experience:

Experience of working within an IT Managed Service Provider role is preferable, along with a strong understanding of IT networks, security, hardware and other IT related products and services. Direct experience of working in a customer-facing role is also desirable, preferably within the B2B environment and ideally with experience of working directly in, or closely with, an IT service desk environment.

The successful applicant must be highly motivated with a high level of written and verbal communication. Strong organisational & time management skills will be of benefit to help self-manage daily activities. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a keenness to keep up to date with the latest IT products and technology. Applicants should hold a clean, full UK driving licence and should be prepared to use their personal transport for business use from time to time as the job requires, although this is expected to be minimal.

Qualifications/Skills:

Required:            O’ level/GCSE English, O’ level/GCSE Maths, Clean Full UK Driving Licence          

Desirable:            O’ level/GCSE Computer-related subject, Other vocational qualifications in computing

Product Knowledge:

Experience with some or all of the following products and services would be desirable:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Azure etc.
  • Strong knowledge of domain and web services.
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls and routers such as Fortinet, ZyXEL, and Draytek.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security solutions and best practice.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows desktop components and software.
  • Strong knowledge of Internet products such as ADSL, FTTC and Leased Lines.
  • Strong knowledge of Anti-Virus products such as Webroot
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud and on-premises backup technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of mail-filtering services such as Barracuda
  • Basic understanding of Windows server components and software.
  • Basic understanding of network services such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and SSLVPN.
  • Basic understanding of hosted Voice over IP telephony.
  • Basic understanding of proprietary WiFi systems such as Ubiquiti and Ruckus.
  • General knowledge of hosted datacentre services.
  • Previous use of PSA solutions such as AutoTask.
  • Previous use of RMM solutions such as Datto.
  • Previous use of IT Documentation system.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Maintain customer relationships primarily via email, telephone, and video.
  • Respond to customer requests and sales enquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist Service Desk team with commercial enquiries from customers.
  • Manage the production of accurate and competitive sales quotations.
  • Place & process orders for own customers and liaising with 3rd party vendors and service providers.
  • Assist Account Managers with order processing from time to time, liaising with 3rd party vendors and service providers when required.
  • Assist with business led client objectives.
  • Manage process of contract renewals, achieving uplifts in revenue where possible.
  • Increase product penetration within client base through cross-selling/up-selling.
  • Assist with provisioning new recurring services such as Microsoft 365, internet, backup
  • Assist with provisioning small network projects as and when required.
  • Assist with preparation of invoices relating to network projects.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate billing information relating to recurring services.
  • Maintain ownership of each sale through quote>project>invoice.
  • Assist with on-boarding of new customers and off-boarding of those who are leaving.
  • Maintain accurate data in AutoTask PSA system relating to customers and
  • Maintain accurate data in IT Glue document management system.
