Importance of apprentice training

Net Technical Solutions believes that acquiring bright and talented young people is vital to the long term success of the company and so we are committed to providing regular apprenticeship training appointments within our business.

As a busy, growing company based in Surrey, we are keen to support our local community by offering opportunities to young people looking to build an IT career outside of London. And with the cost of accommodation and commuting on the rise, we recognise that the provision of progressive, career driven roles nearer to home is a big bonus not only for those searching for roles but also in the maintenance a thriving local community.

An apprenticeship provides a great alternative to university for those who are motivated to get started in a career (and also helps to avoid the huge debt students now face!) It is an excellent way of gaining essential experience in a supported, professional environment whilst acquiring work-based qualifications to give them the edge in the job market. At Net Tech, they will be involved in the day to day running of the business, earn a wage and have the same opportunities as the employees they work alongside.

So for all budding apprentices out there, below are a few reasons why we feel an apprenticeship may be the best choice today:

  1. The chance to shine and be your best.

When you start an apprenticeship, you’ll learn a skilled trade from a professional. An apprenticeship will let you work with someone who’s an expert in what they do and who will help you to learn to be an expert too. You’ll learn to do work you love, and you’ll have the chance to be your best giving you great job opportunities for work in the future.

  1. A skill you can use.

Jobs that start with an apprenticeship are likely to be highly skilled and therefore in high demand. With specialised training, which you’ll gain through your apprenticeship, you’ll have credentials that will be valued anywhere you go.

  1. A pay-cheque while you learn.

Unlike a student, as an apprentice, you’ll learn a new skill and get paid while you learn as the role combines studying with on-the-job training. On completion of the apprenticeship, you can keep your job and earn a higher salary as a skilled employee.

  1. Great opportunities.

Once you have completed an apprenticeship, you’ll have the skills and experience to earn higher wages and get better opportunities than people who have entered your field without an apprenticeship.

  1. A more secure future.

Through gaining skills and technical know-how, you will be more attractive to future employers, which will lead to a higher salary and better job opportunities.
