Net Technical Solutions is proud to be sponsoring two events this year as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our local community.
For a number of years we have been involved in Farnham Town Council's Farnham in Bloom as Silver sponsors and will continue to sponsor this fantastic event again for 2019 at the same level. Additionally, we are delighted to be supporting local charity, The Farnham Hedgehogs, by helping to fund their new float competition for the Farnham Carnival, which is being held on Saturday 29th June.
The Hedgehogs, a registered charity established over 55 years ago with a mission to benefit the community of Farnham and the surrounding areas, team up with Farnham Lions each year to organise and run the Carnival; a popular event which sees many local organisations, from schools to Estate Agents taking part. New for this year, they have decided to hold a competition open to all locally based organisations to design a float that ties in with the carnival's theme 'Fly me to the Moon'. The chosen winners will have the use of a float and Land Rover to build and display their creation on for the duration of the Carnival as well as a trophy for 'Best Locally Sponsored Float 2019'.
Our Commercial Director, Ben Stupples comments: "We try and support as many charity or community events as we can throughout the year and see it as an important part of our company’s ethos to support the local community.
As well as the staff getting involved in national awareness days, such as the Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning and Eagle Radio's Easter Egg Appeal, we make a plan to get involved in local events too, either through sponsorship or fundraising activities. Additionally, quite a few of our customers are either not-for-profit or charitable organisations and so we make an effort to support them too, as and when we can.
A good example of this was earlier this year when we joined in with Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice's 40th Anniversary Accumulator Challenge in February and managed to raise over £1,800 for the Hospice through a staff breakfast event and selling items on eBay.
We are very excited to be supporting the Hedgehogs for the first time and are looking forward to seeing all the entrants designs and ideas."
Judging for the Hedgehog's float competition takes place at the beginning of May and winners will be announced soon afterwards in time to prepare for the carnival.
