Net Technical Solutions is an established and successful IT Solutions company with great offices in central Farnham. We offer high-quality, innovative outsourced IT services to a loyal and established client-base within the SME marketplace in and around the Farnham area and across the South East.

We require a School Network Engineer to join our busy Service Delivery Team. In this varied role, you will be based full-time onsite at one of our School clients and be involved in phone, email and on-site support and management of existing networks.

Duties:

  •  Provide user support (desk side and remotely)
  • Maintenance of servers and network equipment
  • Software and Hardware support and upgrades
  • IT Security and backup checks
  • Carry out diagnostics and health checks
  • Network and printer support
  •  

About You:

To be successful you will need to demonstrate a proven record of working within a 1st or 2nd Line IT Support role, within a School environment

The successful applicant will be a good self-starter and be capable of contributing immediately, with demonstrable skills in the following areas

  •  Active Directory – Permissions, Passwords and Account Management
  • Microsoft Client and Server Operating Systems, specifically:
    • Windows 7, 8 and 10
    • Server 2008/2008R2/2012
    • Small Business Server 2008/2012
  • Microsoft Office – Versions 2007 – 2016
  • Experience working with MS Exchange Servers, Routers and Firewalls preferable but not essential

Other key strengths required include: good attention to detail, able to build and maintain customer relations, consistency, interpersonal skills, ability to work unsupervised & under pressure, self-confidence, analysis, numeracy & literacy, prioritisation, a positive, professional & proactive approach.

Qualifications:

Required:            O’ level/GCSE Maths & English

MCSA or equivalent or part thereof

Additional Requirement:

It is essential that the individual is a car owner and holds a valid UK driving licence
