The Role

Net Technical Solutions are looking for a .net developer to join and complement our E-Business Solutions team. This is a great opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the software development cycle and be a key contributor in the development of bespoke web applications from concept to delivery. With your previous exposure and commercial experience as a C# developer in ASP.NET and excellent communication skills, you will work in a supportive environment and build relationships with both our external and internal clients in order to deliver quality innovative applications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of bespoke web applications, specified to customer requirements, from concept to delivery
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle including; analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation
  • Enhance existing systems as per customer requirements
  • Provide support for existing systems for customers and internal operations via telephone and email
  • Assist development team in the delivery of projects
  • Provide technical support to the sales team as and when required
  • Working within planned and agreed time scales to deliver all tasks and problems
  • Attend customer meetings as and when required to gather requirements

About You

Essential commercial skills:

  • C#, ASP.Net
  • HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, .Less
  • Good understanding of database design, including normalisation and referential integrity
  • MSSQL- Views, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers
  • Ability to write optimised SQL code. Awareness of potential blocking, deadlocking and write code to avoid those situations
  • Visual Studio, TFS (or equivalent source control technology)

Essential commercial experiences:

  • At least 2 Years commercial experience as a C# developer in ASP.NET
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party applications via APIs e.g. SOAP, REST

Desirable commercial skills/experience:

  • SSIS, SSRS
  • Net (to support legacy code)
  • IIS, SMTP, DNS
  • Environmental knowledge of Windows 7, 8, 10
  • Mobile Hybrid Apps (Cordova)
  • Experience integrating with accounting platforms such as Sage or Access Accounts

This role will also involve dealing with customer support requests via telephone and email therefore exceptional levels of customer service, communication and attention to detail are required.
