We currently have a career opportunity for an Account Manager to join our growing Sales and Account Management team. The main purpose of the role is to help manage a number of key client relationships and to carry out strategic activities with these clients, both ‘reacting’ to requests from customers, and ‘proactively’ developing sales of products and services in line with each customer’s ‘ IT road-map’.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and maintain key client relationships, including direct liaison with customers and internal staff via email, video, telephone, and on-site visits.
  • Coordinate periodical account management/strategy meetings with core customers, involving appropriate internal technical resource where appropriate.
  • Respond to account management/sales enquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage the production of accurate and competitive sales quotations and project
  • proposals using a mix of AutoTask PSA and MS Office suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion and return of any documentation pertaining to each customer, including contract renewals and sales orders.
  • Work closely with Commercial Director and Senior Account Manager to help further develop and refine our product and service offering to customers.
  • Liaise with 3rd party service providers as and when required, with regards to both service delivery and sales.
  • Increase product penetration within client base through cross-selling/up-selling where appropriate, including maintaining a Magic Matrix showing customers and services.
  • Create and maintain opportunities and projects using AutoTask PSA system.
  • Oversee provisioning of Network Installation projects relating to key client base.
  • Oversee provisioning of peripheral Recurring Services such as 365, Internet, backup etc.
  • Assist with purchasing of products and services relating to one-off Network Installation projects or ongoing Recurring Services.
  • Assist with preparation of invoices relating to Network Installations and assist with maintaining accurate billing information relating to Recurring Services.
  • Maintain ownership of each sale from strategy>quote>project>delivery>install>invoice.
  • Assist with on-boarding of new customers and off-boarding of those who are leaving.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data in AutoTask PSA system relating to core client base.
  • Monitor and report on Sales and Account Management activities and provide relevant management information as required, including maintaining accurate sales pipeline.
  • Attend technical and sales training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

What we need:

  • Experience of working in a MSP sales/account management role is essential, along with a strong understanding of IT networks, security, hardware and other IT related products and services.
  • Direct experience in the IT industry working in a technical capacity is desirable, preferably within the B2B environment and ideally with first-hand experience of a Service Desk environment.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to draw on their experience to provide a key link between our Service Desk and the Customer, help drive continuous improvements in the service we deliver and also provide support and assistance to others within the team as and when required.
  • We are currently working predominantly from home, with a planned return to the office in the new year. Moving forward, the role will typically require a healthy mix of office based working and visits to customer sites, with some home working also permissible as and when required.
  • Applicants should hold a clean, full UK driving licence and should be prepared to use their personal transport for business use from time to time as the job requires.

  • Firewalls and Routers such as Fortinet, ZyXEL, and Draytek
  • Laptops and Desktops such as HP, Fujitsu and Lenovo
  • Servers and associated components such as HP, Fujitsu or IBM
  • Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 & 2019 software
  • Windows Desktop 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 software
  • Basic knowledge of network services such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and SSLVPN
  • Internet Connectivity products such as ADSL, FTTC and Leased Lines
  • Hosted Voice over IP telephony
  • Proprietary WiFi systems such as Ubiquiti and Ruckus
  • Hosted Datacentre Services
  • Domain and Website services

Qualifications:

  • Required: O’ level/GCSE English O’ level/GCSE Maths
  • Desirable: O’ level/GCSE Computer-related subject; Microsoft Certifications (MCP or MCSE ideally), Other vocational qualifications in computing
  • Clean Full UK Driving Licence
